Get to Know

  1. Which concepts do you teach?Ride and Reformer (for now!)
  2. How long have you been at 1Rebel?Since April 2024
  3. What inspired you to become a trainer?My absolute love of movement. I’ve always loved group fitness classes and wanted to create that same sense of enjoyment for others, inspiring in them the feeling I experienced when taking those classes.
  4. If you weren’t a fitness instructor, what would you be doing?As it so happens, fitness isn’t my full-time job. I’m also a freelance English/Psychology/Philosophy/Sociology tutor. I’m an avid academic and would probably be doing a PHD if I had the time.

Training Philosophy

  1. Describe your training style in one sentence.Technical with a side of sass.
  2. What’s the number 1 piece of advice you give new Rebels?You have nothing to lose by showing up for yourself. Trust in the trainer and remember that they know their program. All you have to do is trust in them and yourself!
  3. How do you stay motivated on low-energy days?Reminding myself of how good I will feel afterwards. You will only regret the session you did not show up for.
  4. What’s your post-class recovery ritual?Coffee, coffee, coffee! And electrolytes, of course.

Music & Vibe

  1. What’s one song that never leaves your playlist?It would have to be Vibration (One More Time) by Sub Focus ft. ARCO. An ABSOLUTE tune and has been on my top 5 Spotify wrapped for longer than I want to admit.
  2. What’s the vibe of your classes in 3 words?Intense, vibey and empowering.
  3. Throwbacks or new tracks?So hard to choose… But I’m a sucker for Release Radar on Spotify on a Friday, so probably new tracks.
  4. What’s the one song that always gets the room fired up?Reims – RL Grime

Lifestyle & Tips

  1. One wellness habit you swear by?Legs in the air post workout! It’s fantastic to drain your legs and reduce swelling or fatigue. It also helps relieve lower back tension so it’s a win-win.
  2. What’s in your gym bag right now?Genuinely EVERYTHING! We’re talking a spare pair of clothes, Sol De Janeiro, BB cream, AirPods, a book. I basically carry my life around in my rucksack.
  3. One myth about fitness you’d love to bust?That in order to have a good workout, you need to sweat. I believe your workout quality should be better judged by consistency, progress and how your body responds over time, not on how much you sweat!
